I remember when Reagan gave his campaign speech at the Statue of Liberty on Labor Day, 1980. It was a hot day, and he took off his tie, unbuttoned his shirt, and rolled up his sleeves.

It was brilliant. Full of hope and courage. Made Carter seem stupid and frail.

Ron was ahead—until the election—from that very next day.

“”Watch the 60 Minutes interview with Carter from 1985. Carter was bitter to the core.””

There were a number of times during the Reagan years when Carter’s facade cracked and the ugliness showed.

Nixon's greatest crime was beating McGovern in an historic nationwide landslide.

Payback. Kennedy's greatest crime was beating Nixon in 1960, full of election fraud and illegalities. Nixon was too decent to challenge the results in court, as he should have. Would have changed history. Closest election since 1916. Kennedy won the reported national popular vote by 112,827, a margin of 0.17 percent.

“Reagan would have helped rebuild the Russian economy, instead of exploiting it, as his successors did.”

Exactly—and Russia would be our ally—since we wouldn’t be trying to cram an agenda of perversion down their throats.

The Democrats have made most of the world our enemy—just because the Democrats are arrogant jerks.

I doubt a Rino President in office in 1981 to 1989 would have brought about the freeing of the hostages in Iran, the dissolution of the USSR, or the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Here's a different take on Carter.

Jimmy Carter's smiling, man-of-the-people image that saw him carry his own luggage was 'all show', say ex-Secret Service agents who claim ex-president was 'rude and short' and 'talked down' to soldiers

Course, back in those days I was a dumb-a$$ democrat voter
