Former Gov. Larry Hogan (R) was running third behind former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in a new poll of likely presidential primary voters in Maryland.

The poll, from firm co/efficient, was in the field on Sunday and Monday and surveyed 1,007 people through mobile text and landline interviews.

When asked who residents would support in the 2024 Republican presidential primary, 33% said they would back Trump, 27% supported DeSantis and 18% said they would pick Hogan. Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley attracted 6% support, former Vice President Mike Pence got 1%, and 12% of likely GOP voters said they were currently undecided.

Third in Maryland, wow...

Even big primary loser John Kasich won Ohio in 2016.

Third in his home state lol. That does not bode well for any national aspirations.

In 2016 there was JEB! In 2024 will there be LARRY!? I don’t see Larry raising any money so I don’t see Larry going even as far as Iowa.

Maybe he could get a gig at Murdoch News. He'd fit right in.

Worked a lot with Michael Steele when he was the head of Prince George’s county Republican party and he was a wonderful guy.

He became lieutenant gov and did a 180. Then he went swamp.

Time for me to get out of here too.

In the mean time I’m working on getting a committee started to clean up Maryland voter rolls.

Thank you for referencing that article conservative98. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Any governor like DeSantis, or former governor, or voters who would vote for a governor for POTUS, probably do not understand that 10th Amendment-protected state powers do not belong in Oval Office.

State powers in the Oval Office are how corrupt political parties are destroying the constitutional republic.

Patriots, the bottom line is this imo. What is your threshold of “pain” for peacefully stopping unconstitutionally big state and federal governments controlled by bully, constitutionally undefined political parties, from oppressing the people under their boots?

The inevitable remedy for ongoing, post-17A ratification, corrupt political party treason (imo)...

All MAGA patriots need to wake up their RINO federal and state lawmakers by making the following clear to them.

If they don’t publicly support either a resolution, or a Constitutional Convention, to effectively "secede" ALL the states from the unconstitutionally big federal government by amending the Constitution to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments (16&17A), doing so before the primary elections in 2024, that YOU will primary them.

If the proposed amendment was limited strictly to repealing 16&17A, relatively little or ideally no discussion would be needed before ratification of the amendment imo.

With 16&17A out of the way, my hope is that Trump 47 becomes the FIRST president of a truly constitutionally limited power federal government.

In the meanwhile, I'm not holding my breath for significant MAGA legislation to appear in the first 100 days of new term for what may still prove to be another RINO-controlled House.

Trump will hopefully do another round of primarying RINOs for 2024 elections.
