As a general rule, it’s a good idea to leave the parenting to the parents. Odds are that a stranger online won’t know someone’s kid as well as the kid’s parent and should mind their own business. That’s certainly the thought behind legislation that seeks to prevent the public school system from usurping the rights of parents.
But sometimes, what looks like bad parenting is, in fact, bad parenting.
And this, friends, is, without a doubt, unequivocally bad parenting:
Absolute undeniable narcissism.
This lady claims to have a TEN YEAR OLD pansexual and that she would not have taken her kids to the library had they not had the LGBT+ kids books at the library (in the kid’s section btw).

No one should be clapping for something like this. Not kids. Not parents. Not a single person on the face of the earth. Do any of these people actually stop and think about what they’re defending and endorsing?

They certainly didn’t come up with it organically. Ten-year-old kids don’t organically think of themselves as sexual beings, and if your ten-year-old kid is talking about his or her sexuality using terms like “pansexual” then you sure as hell shouldn’t be bragging about it.

Adult: no one cares, run along you little brat
10 year old: Actually, I'm pansexual

When I was 10, I knew I liked boys.
If my library had no princess fairy tales, if the Little House series stopped before Almanzo, if Ann of Green Gables never did make friends with Gilbert, would I have lost something important? Probably. Romance and attraction matter even to children, as guides.
If a little girl who calls herself pansexual is gently directed towards heterosexual monogamy by conventional romantic story lines, will she be better off? Yes, yes,yes.
Is there any point in being pansexual? If a woman declares that she is interested in everyone, in gay men, or asexual people, there is no reciprocation. Maybe she means she would have sex with men, women, non-binary, trans...perhaps with romantic feelings and commitment, or maybe not.
But if a little girl declares this, she has been the target of propaganda against nature, and horribly in appropriate for her years.
I am the product of a broken home, hippiedom, parents’ lovers, but the only propaganda I grew up with was traditional romance and marriage. Thank God.

When I was ten, back in ancient times, I knew I was a boy and I knew that I liked girls, sort of, but I really wouldn’t admit to it, although the girls I liked, sort of, could probably tell. I didn’t really think about it any more than that and, besides, I occupied myself with homework and music lessons and church and my dog and playing ball and riding bikes with my friends. I certainly didn’t have a label for what I was. It never occurred to me that there was a label or that I needed one.
This girl is a pansexual. How does a ten-year-old come to that conclusion? I am guessing not on her own.

Neither did I, so I looked up the definition. According to Oxford Dictionary, it means: sexually or romantically attracted to people regardless of their sex or gender.
Isn't that the same as bisexual, or what we once called someone who swings both ways?
Perhaps pansexual takes into account all the fake sexes/genders. Bi just recognizes male and female.

You’re probably right. I’m certainly no expert on these newfangled sexual things. Heck, maybe pansexual includes “furries,” people who rape sheep, people who rape dead bodies, and all sorts of stuff that used to be considered aberrant, even illegal behavior.
You cant rape a dead body. Technically its abuse of a corpse. You can thank Better Call Saul as to why I know that. :)
