Neither did I, so I looked up the definition. According to Oxford Dictionary, it means: sexually or romantically attracted to people regardless of their sex or gender.
Isn't that the same as bisexual, or what we once called someone who swings both ways?
Perhaps pansexual takes into account all the fake sexes/genders. Bi just recognizes male and female.
I like my definition better.

How can a 10 year old swing any type of way? It’s been ages, but I am fairly certain I wasn’t into girls at 10, let alone know what swinging both ways would mean (pan) I would’ve thought of Tarzan.
