The FBI will no long be weaponized when the FBI is no longer. Law enforcement is a local responsibility. (See US Constitution, Article I, Sec 8, and then the 10th Amendment)

Anything big and centralized will sooner or later be taken over by the left.

The Founding Fathers knew this, and although they didn't call the danger "the left," it was the same danger.

When I was young the bumper stickers said “Support Your Local Police” or “Support Your Local Sheriff” in the aftermath of the 1968 Gun Laws.

One conservative book out there when I was young “Gun Control Is People Control” warned about federal involvement in law enforcement.

Nowadays we take that federal control of local law enforcement for granted federal funding and the control that comes with it is the norm endorsed across the board.

Trump among others says more money for police but that federal money=federal control.

You can see nationalization of law enforcement right before your eyes their vehicles all standardizing with “Police” or “Trooper” or “Sheriff” in big letters states and localities in small letters.
