Edit: The primary balloon is allegedly over Missouri as of around 5:00pm Eastern time. By the time this gets out it will have moved on, probably to the east coast. Sorry for the delay, I recorded this on the morning of Feb 3 and it has taken 6 hours to upload because I'm currently in the middle of the woods working on unrelated content. Crises clearly don't like fitting into my production schedule as I would like.
Edit 2: 1933 Eastern - picking up reports of a possible missile strike on a balloon over Montana. Developing right now, more information to follow.
Just a quick update: We're tracking multiple targets so this is to clear up any confusion thus far. Total of Two balloons CONFIRMED so far, One in Montana, one in Latin America (somewhere). There are possibly two different balloons in latin america, but the DoD has only confirmed one down there. No word in several hours on the possible bogey in Canadian airspace. As of a few minutes ago, locals in Billings, Montana observed a possible strike on a balloon.

So what sort of payload could a globe spanning balloon actually carry?
And how could they provide better imagery or signal interception than already available satellites or less overt ground based efforts?
Unless, of course, the ChiComs or whoever are testing the waters for the Japanese WW2 dream of delivering pathogens.

I’m sure at 60,000 feet the resolution is much better than satellite. They can count hairs on your head at that height.
So many possibilities and Biden and company sat on it, have been letting them wander overhead. Is this surrender or incompetence?
End Chinese commerce, most of us have devices that will last a few years while we stand up US companies to make future replacements. I really doubt the impact will be that bad.

Not sure if this means anything, but every entrance to the Marine Air Base in Beaufort, SC is lined with military police.
If the power goes out then you can suspect the balloon was a EMP.
Our DOD is worthless and clearly they’ve been infiltrated.
