He did not respond to tasers. He refused to submit, and was armed with a deadly weapon.
He might have been subdued with some sort of net or webbing.

What if they let him alone, and he stabbed someone else?

They chased him by walking faster. He was not that big a threat to them.
Maybe they could have aimed for a stump?

All good points. 10+ years ago I read about a ‘gun’ that had this wierd goo in it, shot out like a web to incapacitate the perp. I think the problem with that is what the heck to do with the goo covered POS then? Nothing like a good ‘ol bullet IMHO.
Did you watch the video of 2 cops with guns pointed at him, chasing him as he hobbled away trying to drag his wheelchair? A mentally ill and terrified MAN.
Yes he occasionally turned and brandished a knife at them….to defend himself..,prob figuring they were going to shoot him. As they were trying to taze him. Which they did, 8 times, most or all in the back.
As for the reported stabbing, no medical team or victim in videos. I guess more details today.

Indeed being a amputee isn’t a permit to kill it was just a matter of time before he did,it may not been his first time at it.
