The food service director of an impoverished Illinois school district was charged with stealing $1.5 million of food — most of which was chicken wings.
Vera Liddell, 66, allegedly began stealing from the Harvey School District during the height of COVID-19, local TV station WGN reported.
The station reported that Liddell ordered more than 11,000 cases of chicken wings for the district with school funds, but took all the poultry for herself.
“The food was never brought to the school or provided to the students,” court records claimed.

I am quite sure someone could trace to whom she sold those chicken wings, that shouldn’t be too difficult.
I’m guessing she re-sold the wings to local BBQ joints and bars.

The article fails to tell us what she did with the 11,000 cases of chicken wings. Presumably she would only be able to eat a small fraction of them herself, so what happened to them? If she sold them, who bought them?
I believe that thievery is the main purpose of government in Harvey.

Many are raised on the false assumption that all of society steals from them; the only way to "get ahead" is to steal; everyone else owes them a living because of: pick one; slavery, racism, white supremacy.
Those are favorite themes for justifying theft in general, but the justifying because of historical acts is more common amoung black people.
