Hunter Biden walked up to the mother of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy at the White House state dinner honoring French President Emmanuel Macron last month and told the 82-year-old she looked “beautiful,” according to a report.
President Biden’s son was among the first of the guests to arrive at the lavish function, and among the few other early arrivals were McCarthy (R-Calif.) and his mother, Roberta, according to a New York Times report Wednesday. Despite the California Republican’s vows to investigate Hunter and his father, the first son and his wife approached McCarthy and his mother, and the two men shook hands, according to the news outlet.
“Mrs. McCarthy, you look beautiful,” Hunter Biden told Roberta McCarthy, a person who was present told the New York Times.

Sucking up to McCarty’s Mom?
Second, telling an old lady she looks beautiful when she's dressed up for an event is hardly like he propositioned her. It's a courtesy, some harmless flattery. I can't be made at Hunter for this one.
It used to be considered courtesy for a man to complement a woman’s appearance at a formal affair. /shrug

McCarthy has to bring his mom to events because the wife he cheated on (and now pays off) won’t go.
I don’t have a problem with that. Maybe she did look beautiful, and there’s nothing wrong with telling her so.

McCarthy has acceded to putting Hunter Biden in the crosshairs.
The opposite play would be if Donald Trump Jr. approached Jill Biden and flattered her at a dinner in honor of Brazil’s Lula.
It’s inappropriate. It’s also telling of the mother’s views and judgment. The dinner was for France’s Macron, hardly a popular figure in France. There was no reason for her to attend such a dinner other than she fancies herself as part of the entourage of the Ruling Class elite.
Highlights clearly that conflicts of interest carry no weight in such circles, they are all cut from the same cloth.
Nothing surprises about that creep. The rumors of his relationship with his 14 year old niece are sickening.
