People are pretty generous when they see others in need. Especially when it involves children. Where I previously worked, we had what we called the “Angel Fund” that people could donate to when they wanted. Then, if someone found that a co-worker had an unexpected financial problem, they would let the Angel Fund Committee know, and an anonymous donation would suddenly appear on that person’s desk with a nice card wishing them the best and letting them know their co-workers were thinking of them. That fund made a difference in so many people’s lives when things such as unexpected car repairs, medical expense, or a faulty heating/AC unit hit them in the pocket book.
