Owning an electric car means that you also need to own a gas-powered vehicle as a backup.
Ha, ha — just like windmills and solar cells. You need a coal-fired or natural-gas fired backup power plant.
Going green is expensive. You have to buy TWO power plants where just one used to do (main + backup). AND you have to buy TWO automobiles where just one used to do).
Is this a great New Green World or what?
I have an old-fashioned (hand crank windows, etc ) 22 year old pickup truck - started like a champ, first try, no hesitation, with a temp of 9° yesterday morning. No Tesla for me - I couldn’t afford one anyway.
ICE works in ice. EV not so much.
