Yesterday I had a heated argument with a Walmart rep. on the phone about the fraudulent use of my credit card. I had called the service counter two days previously to report that I saw the fraud on my Walmart Internet account. I noted an unauthorized use by some of my rather unique first name and my personal card number to purchase - get this a $150.00 ‘card making’ kit. At the time I first called Walmart the delivery tracking report showed the item was still in the delivery stream. I expected the company would take immediate action to stop delivery. Yesterday I checked my account again and noted the package had just been delivered to the address of the fraudulent purchaser. I gave Walmart a dressing down over the phone for not stopping the shipment and not seeming to care about the loss of merchandise and my corrupted credit card. Obviously, the fraud appeared to me to be an inside job by someone either selling or misusing my credit card but Walmart was unmoved. The response I got from Walmart was pathetic. These big companies just chalk up the loss and go on and the customers pay in the end for the fraud, including me that now has to go through the hassle of obtaining and setting up my accounts on a new credit card.
Since you have their address why not make your own “delivery”?
Maybe some lead or a cocktail or two. Molotov, shaken not stirred.
The stores and credit card companies do not care.
Had someone use a card to buy a first class airline ticket.
Should have been a easy case.
Picture ID to fly.
Nothing done.
Walmart's customer service number is terrible. Once, I made a big purchase online for a store pickup, but the store didn't have the items in stock when I showed up. It took weeks and many calls and arguments before Walmart issued me a refund.
As for thieves, in retail, sometimes the biggest thieves are employed for the store. Where I worked for a short time, the police were called many times to haul an employee out in handcuffs - typically a cashier. Sometimes the employees themselves have all sorts of elaborate scams going.
