Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a direct appeal to Republican critics during his Wednesday address to a joint meeting of Congress, telling lawmakers that no country was safe in the face of Russian aggression.
In a speech that won several standing ovations from both sides of the aisle, Zelenskyy predicted the war will hit a turning point next year just as Republicans are set to take control of the U.S. House of Representatives.
"The struggle will define in what world our children and grandchildren will live," said Zelenskyy. "This battle cannot be frozen or postponed, it cannot be ignored hoping that [an] ocean or something else will provide protection."

I spoke yesterday with a Russian friend who told me that three of his draft-age nephews have escaped and are hiding in Mongolia in fear of being sent to the front. They are being cared for by family members, but they are frightened and have nowhere else to go.
My own youngest will be draft age next year.
We need to get the hell out of this before it comes to our doorstep. At some point, our proxy war will become a direct conflict. Russia will decide to cut out the middleman...
This UKRAINIAN leader who suppresses a Free Press, and heavily shuts down voice of those who oppose him, ending Free Speech, a tyrant and dictator is our flag bearer.. Imagine. This will NOT end well... MANY in the Ukraine WANT peace with Russia.
Oh noes, America will falter if we don’t give money to this a-hole. Bull crap. America’s bankruptcy becomes one step closer by sending money to Ukraine. Ukraine isn’t the only thing we blow money on, but every dollar spent on Ukraine is not a dollar spent on American problems or saved. We have no national interests in Ukraine. No American’s life is made better by sending money and weapons to Ukraine. In fact, it hurts Americans.
This is really a struggle between competing ideologies. The greater threat to the USA is the Biden/EU ideology, which is spreading LGBT, communism, and green devastation throughout the world. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian powerless are caught in the middle of this struggle.
NATO will play this as long as possible. They know there is no reason for NATO should Russia fail.
Zelensky makes a valid point.

I watched him pointing to the words as he read his speech in English....just like I did in 1st grade. He don’t believe he really understands English. He sue as hell isn’t fluent.
