Do not get sucked in by wokeist thinking because it is objectively false. If one runs the numbers, in the aggregate, in New Orleans and just about everywhere else, black criminals are disproportionately responsible for crime, both the base rate and the recent run up due to the way that the Black Lives Matter movement inhibited police street enforcement against black criminals.
Citing white criminality does not counter this point, nor does it offer solace to the victims of black criminality -- most of whom are black. Most black people know this and polling shows that they want more police enforcement, not less, and tend to want harder treatment of criminals, not easier.
I have been a police officer for almost 20 years. No need to give me crime stats. I am WELL aware who commits crime and who does not. I know what criminals look like and I know what victims look like.
IMHO, there is a LARGE difference between citing statistical facts and calling black people "apes" and "animals." You may disagree with me and agree with the other poster, but that's between you and the mirror.
