Please....lotsa better things than candles. I use a flouresent lamp. Lasts forever. Their problem is heat and cooking. Plenty of ways to cook out doors...and keep warm at the same time. Time to go into the woods and gather wood.
Or the ukes could wise up and say....scr** Biden and the EU and their climate warming agenda...we want gas!!
To: Red Badger
With the right setup, it’s possible to cook small meals using just the heat from a candle. I’ve done it while camping when it was too rainy to sit by the campfire.
I’d rather use electricity when cooking at home, but it’s always good to have backup plans.

Maybe they can burn their solar panels for heat.

I actually had a nutbag tell me back in 2010, “We’re going to make you all live in caves and if you are good we will give you a candle.”

Badger, I lived in Germany for four years. Trying to use solar power is a joke, too cloudy as I recall.

NPR. Almost completely ignored the desperate use of wood and wholesale use of low efficiency brown coal to make up for the energy shortfall. Didn’t bother to mention aluminum plants shut down, probably for good. German gas reserves are down to 86%, not “near 100%”. And winter has just begun.
To: Red Badger
Hoe can they be having an energy crisis.
US energy exports to the EU are through the roof...

History is going to look back at these times and wonder how so many national leaders went insane at the same time.
Man made climate change is a scam, yet every western nation is going out of their way to destroy all the progress made since the beginning of the industrial revolution in the name of this scam.
They are willing to have their citizen starve to death in the cold in the name of that scam.

The earth is billions of years old and have undergone millions of changes. Nothing that man has done in the past 200 years comes near what has gone before.

Germany is now on a mission to transform its energy economy and reduce its gas consumption. The nation is making real progress on that front. Yeah, real progress, sure. Well, they are reducing consumption with no replacement.
To: Red Badger
Guess the blowing up the pipeline wasn’t a good idea.
