Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said she has identified one of the "massive" reasons Republicans significantly underperformed in last month's midterm elections.
McDaniel said a "massive amount" of ticket-splitting was one of the top factors that led to GOP losses in some key races this election cycle despite winning in other races on the same ballot, speaking with John Catsimatidis on Cats Roundtable on the radio station WABC 77 on Sunday.
"Ticket-splitting was everywhere. We won eight races statewide in Georgia, but then Warnock wins the runoff. Ron Johnson wins in Wisconsin, but Evers holds the governorship," McDaniel said. "It’s not a one size fits all."
McDaniel also mentioned how the GOP cannot ignore abortion as a matter for voters, saying it gave Democrats an opportunity this past election.
"We’ve got to get conversant on that. It was probably a bigger factor than a lot of people thought. We can’t just do an ostrich method and pretend that it doesn’t exist when Democrats are spending $30 million on that message," McDaniel said. "In Pennsylvania and Michigan, that was a huge issue."

If it happened, then why didn't Ronna tell Mitch to shut up about the GOP having 'poor candidates'? Or why didn't Ronna tell Geoff Duncan to shut up and just vote for Hershel Walker in the runoff?
These two RINO's were among the many RINO Leaders who were discouraging GOP voters from voting for MAGA candidates.

A more fundamental problem IMO is that the party has no principles or convictions. People know that. The brand lacks substance, gravitas and purpose.

You keep posting that crap but you have no evidence to support it. Oz stacked up better in a statewide election in PA than any of the other GOP contenders.
The proof of this was that Mastriano -- who was pretty much the exact opposite of Oz by every measure -- turned out to be one of the worst candidates in any election across the entire U.S.
It’s not “ticket splitting” Ronna, it’s mail in balloting.
Ronna, Biden may have received 81 million votes, but 81 million people didn’t vote for him.

Ronna Romney McDaniel has been the RNC chairwoman since 2017. She’s the longest serving chairwoman in the history of the RNC. She’s also the least successful RNC chairwoman in the history of the RNC.

Namely, GOP brand is fully committed with substance, gravitas and purpose to destroy Trump whatever it costs.
