Shortly after Brittney Griner landed in Texas early Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said more prisoner exchanges are possible between the two countries.
Putin said “everything is possible” when asked about future swaps, noting that “compromises have been found” to clear the exchange of the WNBA star for notorious arms dealer Viktor Bout.
“We aren’t refusing to continue this work in the future,” the Russian strongman added after a summit in Kyrgyzstan.
“Whether this could set stage for a dialogue with the U.S. is a separate issue,” the leader said. “We didn’t set the task to move from those talks to something else, but they do create a certain atmosphere.

No doubt Putins excitd about more swaps - he traded an american hating mentally unstable individual for a chief arms dealer.

How does that square with conventional wisdom about who is “Putin’s puppet”
She violated Russian law by possessing drugs. That seems indisputable. She pleaded guilty. She wasn’t a political prisoner as far as I am aware. Once again Biden left a marine behind but got out a privileged demographic box ticking former sports “star” in exchange for a man who armed thousands and targeted Americans. It’s a textbook horrible deal. Maybe I shouldn’t say it but I don’t care that Griner is “home.”
Putin obviously wanted this guy sprung. What more terror will he help unleash across the world? What more blood will be on Joe’s hands?
I wonder why President Trump didn’t swap him for our Marine much earlier?
