Residents in both of the counties surrounding the dams slated for removal have voted overwhelmingly over the past decade in favor of keeping the dams in place because of the benefits they offer and the potential for dam removal to create problems with flooding

Saving lives by stopping floods was the main reason the dams went up.
There WILL be flooding. There WILL be deaths.
But for the left
Fish lives matter
Human life,,,,,doesn't.
.
And there will be fires they will no longer be able to put out. They want us OUT of the rural areas.
if 50 people die it wont make a difference because it wont be covered by the media it will be swept under the rug for progress just how the world works now. On a side note I am for the removal of any dams that no longer serve a purpose they were not designed to last forever and are a public hazard when left unmaintained
voted? Since when do our voices or votes count?
This is a case of “Indian Lives Matter.” They want their happy hunting and fishing grounds restored.

Give them Portland and Salem as well. And Sanfransicko.

As a 3/8 blood I say,,,
Beware those bearing “ gifts” , it most often is sweet un the mouth and bitter in the stomach.
The econazis who goaded and helped get this done will be long gone by the time the first Indian dies from the first of the rest of the floods to come.
Oh, and the fish decline is from the econazis best commie buddies, the CCP’s fishing ships off the West Coast.
There will be no ‘ return’ of the fish volume,,, just killer floods that will kill Indians and wash away their property.
Just my opinion.
Add Medford to that list, it was a chithole when I lived there in the early 90’s and has gotten exponentially worse.
The first death from flooding will be blamed on CO2.
You’re probably right. “Polar ice caps melting”.
“... the fish decline is from the econazis best commie buddies, the CCP’s fishing ships off the West Coast.”
Exactly right!
Think about this Batman:
When the dams are removed and the seasonal rains come to the area, the decades of sediment will be violently flushed down the river with flood zone areas covered with the mud as in days of old. Before the white man with his reasoned scientific knowledge came to calm these flooded lands!
Back to the time of ignorance marches the masses!
Anything can be a “public hazard when not maintained”.
And I thought they were a friend of sustainable energy.
Not only flooding but destruction whena ll that bare soil and mud wash away. Fish can’t live in mud.
This is stupid of course.
My concern with all of these large dam removal projects is the sediment. While the release of sediment will help to create an estuary where marine life can flourish, it is full of toxins that have been trapped behind the dams. Those toxins will be blown all over the area as the exposed mud flats dry out. It takes time for plant life to become established, and until then, every windy day will kick up clouds of toxic dust.
We need more renewable energy.
First, let’s tear down renewable energy facilities.
As if the eco nazis care about human lives. How many have died from the banning of DDT?
I did business there. Every corner has a marijuana shop. Homeless zombies (methed out “trimmigrants” wandered around all hours of the day and night. I liked the surrounding areas but yep, Medford, an s hole. Sad too. Such a beautiful region and shows what happened when the lumber industry was destroyed by the tree huggers.
I distinctly remember the big mill in town seemed to be on its last legs back then, can I assume it has long since passed into the dustbin of history?
