RIP Kirstie.
Woopsie Goldberg probably won’t let him because Kirstie wasn’t a rabid liberal
βI was on a plane today and did something I rarely do. I watched an old episode of Cheers,β Danson who played Sam Malone, said in a statement to Deadline. βIt was the episode where Tom Berenger proposes to Kirstie, who keeps saying no, even though she desperately wants to say yes. Kirstie was truly brilliant in it. Her ability to play a woman on the verge of a nervous breakdown was both moving and hysterically funny. She made me laugh 30 years ago when she shot that scene, and she made me laugh today just as hard. As I got off the plane, I heard that Kirstie had died. I am so sad and so grateful for all the times she made me laugh. I send my love to her children. As they well know, their mother had a heart of gold. I will miss her.β
Yep, cancer sucks.
Here she is in 5min clip as a contestant on “Match Game:” https://youtu.be/_6uC7SgzTLM

Prayers for her family and friends. She was a good actress, and her Twitter feed was a hoot.
Thought I’d put this here for anyone to see.
A bunny’s tale.

The number and variety of celebrities paying tribute to her indicates how much she was truly loved within an acting community that is notoriously fickle. She must have been someone truly special.
Kirstie lived near me on the Applegate River in So. Oregon. My best friend who passed years ago got to know her well
She was a pleasant, funny lady. Conservative. Her children were adopted.
Ted Danson?
Whoopi Goldberg's former Boy-Toy love stick?
The guy who left his wife and family for a sexual romp with Whoopi?
That Ted Danson?
.
Her first cousin is/was Bruce Litzke. Professional golfer back in the day.
I remember her most from Cheers. Rest in peace, Kirstie.
Sad. I liked Kirstie in Star Trek. She has terrible weight problems that probably helped shorten her life. RIP.
I hadn’t heard of her death yet. Sorry to hear of it.
I’ve enjoyed a lot of her work. Seeing people pass on
that I’ve enjoyed through life begins to wear on ya.
