There are two former mma fighters from Russia, brothers, who claim that they hunted brown bears with knives and a stick. I normally dismiss stories like that, but these 2 dudes are nuts and fiercesome fighters, so there may be some truth to,the story. Plus they are from Russia, so being part nuts and fearless is a requirement lol

Tim wells hunts brown bears and black bears too, and all kinds of animals with spears and blowouts, and the fella is an unreal bow hunter, taking flying ducks, pigeons etc with a bow

In Hawaii it’s common for hunters to kill boar by jumping on it’s back and cutting the boar’s throat - this of course after three or four dogs have the boar’s legs and it’s splayed out on the ground.
