I think Russia has reserved the right to deliver some payback and I believe the operational tempo is going to increase to an unmatchable, overwhelming level. So far they’ve been fighting with one hand tied behind their back, standing on one foot.

I am dubious. As long as Biden is in office...and perhaps even after...the money will flow to Ukraine. It gets laundered and sent back to the Dems in the US...and some Pubbies like McConnell.

The Russians are not in a position to insist on anything, and ought to propose a reasonable settlement (like withdrawing to their Feb 23 lines) before they lose even more men and face a possible ignominious collapse of their army in Ukraine like in 1917.

Ukraine's ONLY chance was, 20 years ago, to make it neutral, attempt to free it from both Russian and US corruption, and especially let its economy and its civil institutions strengthen and develop in peace.
War was guaranteed when Victoria Nuland and John McCain stood on stage in Maidan Square while Ukraine Right Sektor conducted a coup.
Now the country is completely hollowed out, and totally controlled by US/NATO money, weapons, intelligence and political will.
When that waivers, Zelensky will be on the first chopper out with suitcases full of cash.
Word in the Dunbas is that Russia wants the Zelensky money train to continue. The eventual damage to America is incalculable.
