You can’t go home again. The 2016 coalition that elected Trump isn’t coming back. Another Trump World reality show travelling circus isn’t going to win new MAGA votes in 2024. It’s that simple, really. Some folks need to face this reality ASAP.
OK, LOL. Nobody goes to Trump rallys anymore because they are too crowded.
I'm already writing '24 off as a loss.
Donald Trump will win the GOP nomination handily. His MAGA base will not abandon him and even if his base is now only 30% of the GOP, that's all it will take. The other 70% will split their support amongst what will undoubtedly be a crowded field of "Not Trump" candidates.
Trump picks up the nomination through attrition.
And he gets wiped out in the general election. He doesn't win back a single state he lost in '20. He keeps the base but the independents flee, as they did in '18, 20, and '22.
And that's how it all goes down.
Hopefully he'll sit out '28 but I expect there will be people here arguing that he was robbed and deserves another shot at it.
The pre 2016 RINO party isn’t coming back either. They will need people who will vote for them and the way Trump is being treated now will make that virtually impossible.
People are not going to come together over a big donor backed GOPe RINO candidate.
I myself will not vote for one of these people because they will not do anything to save America or serve the American people. They will lie to get elected and then unite with democrats and ignore the will of the people.
I strongly believe this country deserves the piss poor leadership many US citizens voted for at all levels of government. The US does not deserve a DeSantis or a Trump. Both leaders are too good for the lazy, ignorant, shortsighted Americans who are the product of a piss poor education and influences from the Celebrity World and MSM (now including Fox).
I posted on this thread Trump's accomplishments. Tens of millions of my fellow Americans purposefully chose poor leaders (Newsom, Fetterman, Biden). The USA does not deserve good leadership.
