Otto von Bismarck knew of what he was saying, when he said, “I don’t trust Russians, because Russians don’t trust themselves.”

Very apt.

Donald Trump Says Joe Biden’s Remarks Gave Russia the ‘Green Light’ on Ukraine

Donald Trump has accused President Joe Biden of giving Russia the “green light” to invade Ukraine.

Speaking to Fox News on Thursday, the former president criticized Biden’s remarks during a press conference about the buildup of Russian troops next to the border with Ukraine.

Biden suggested on Wednesday that a “minor incursion” ordered by President Vladimir Putin would result in a softer response from Washington than a full-scale invasion. The comments sparked alarm in Kyiv and were quickly walked back by the White House.

"But he also warned that Russia’s ability to pull more men into its ranks despite substantial losses and the fact that it still occupies roughly 20 percent of Ukraine meant the war would not end any time soon."

No. That's the reason the war would be likely to end sooner. The more Russia throws away increasingly large numbers of Russian men, the more poorly its army and nation functions.

Minor corrections:

The $37.7 billion doesn’t begin until some time in 2023. For that matter, the $40 billion will be far from being spent in 2022.

The aid so far also contains quite a bit of non-military aid to Ukraine (which IMO should at most be provided as a loan [with interest] to the EU which can then aid Ukraine as it sees fit.)

That “33% more” is from last year - Putin has raised Russia’s defense budget for 2023 by 43%. (Estimates of actual expenditures for 2022 vary wildly.)

Deterrence in the 1st place would have been much preferable.

Davos WEF Kissinger Flashback:

Kissinger says Ukraine must give up land to Russia, warns West not to seek to humiliate Putin with defeat

Henry Kissinger said Ukraine must concede territory to Russia to end the war and warned the West that a humiliating defeat for Russia could result in wider destabilization.

The statesman, now 98, made the comments in a conference at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Monday

That’s rich coming from a Brandon administration official.

Must not be getting _any_ of that cool, crisp Ukraine lettuce.

Milley was part of Brandon’s “minor incursion” deal with Putin. He’s a slimeball who’s trying to find any reason possible to stop Ukraine’s march to take back Crimea.

Thrills me to the bone that Ukraine continues to disobey the globalists and surrender to fascist RuSSia.

Rock on Ukraine.

Milley is another national embarrassment. He’s cut from the same traitor fabric as Vindman. He wants to neuter our military so that his foreign masters can just take over our country at their earliest convenience. A tutu-wearing junior ballerina is tougher than he is, the puke.

I used to think Putin and Russians were ok. Their Crimea invasion was not on my radar. The Russians used to own it, so I figured, OK.

I am 100% against them since these dumb, evil, rats invaded Ukraine. A very civilized nation. F’em!
The Ukraine Slavs are more European blooded and more Europe oriented. While the Russian Slavs are more Mongolian barbarians. End result -— Putin now looks away from Europe to solve his economic problems. By selling his oil and gas to Asians, China and others.

Brandon is chomping at the bit to dump the Ukraine hot potato onto the EU and revive his partnership with Putin on Iran. That’s what Obama did and Biden’s handlers intend to do the same.

Peace will come when the money stops—not an hour longer. Look to see more “Russian Rockets” hit NATO Nations in the future. Poland is the most likely target—they hate Russia almost as much as Ukraine—and are almost itching for a fight as long as America backs them up. Mr. Zelenskyy needs NATO troops to finish off Russia (so he thinks). My bet—He will get them before January. US and Russians will be shooting at each other (with Poles and Romanians) by Christmas. This thanksgiving will be the last one held in Peace for the next four years.

Russians have never been free. And I mean NEVER. That is why they are — generally speaking — fatalists. And, as has been said in literature, Russians simply endure.

That is very sad. Russians tend to just go along with, and accept, their history of subjugation.
