When researchers set out to study the effects of disinformation on global populations, they discovered something surprising: a huge resurgence in climate denial in 2022.

Just WHO is to say what is "information" and "disinformation"? What if those sensible "climate deniers" are right and they own the "information" and all the "researchers" on the climate payroll are guilty of "disinformation"?

Who is the arbiter of truth and why?

“The science about the climate crisis is unequivocal”, said she. Morons don’t need a lot of proof. We have had Climate Change for 4.7 billion yes. But she thinks the US is responsible.

Somebody tell Katie that all the ski areas in the west are opening early many with 4’ of snow.

It’s also sub zero weather in a wide swath of the Northwestern states which is a bit unusual this early.

Climate change my butt.

9 Nov: Axios: John Kerry makes his move on private climate finance
by Ben Geman & Andrew Freedman
Driving the news: On Wednesday, U.S. climate envoy John Kerry — along with the Rockefeller Foundation and the Bezos Earth Fund — unveiled plans for the “Energy Transition Accelerator” at the COP27 summit.

PepsiCo, Microsoft, Bank of America and others have expressed interest, the U.S. announcement states...

The U.S. cites International Energy Agency estimates that investment ***needs to exceed $4 trillion annually*** by 2030 to create a net-zero emissions pathway by 2050...

8 Nov: Breitbart: John Kerry Says Climate Strategy ‘Modelled’ on Covid Vaccine Rollout at World Economic Forum Panel
by Kurt Zindulka
The World Economic Forum’s ‘First Movers Coalition’ climate change agenda was “modelled” off the effort to roll out vaccines during the Chinese coronavirus crisis, John Kerry said at a COP27 panel in Egypt on Tuesday.

Appearing alongside WEF President Børge Brende and various corporate executives, US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry said that it is urgent for the private sector to pair with governments to realise the goal of preventing the global temperature from rising and to save lives in the allegedly looming global climate crisis...

In contrast to Kerry’s dire warnings, climate-related deaths have been steadily declining over the past century as prosperity has seen billions of people become more insulated from the deadly impacts of weather events such as hurricanes and floods. Climate expert Bjorn Lomborg noted last year that nearly half a million people died from “storms, floods, droughts, wildfires and extreme temperatures,” a year a century ago while in 2020, just 14,000 died in similar events.
“That’s almost 99% less than the death toll a century ago,” Lomborg wrote. “The global population has quadrupled since then, so this is an even bigger drop than it looks.”...

When pressed on whether the mid-term elections would impact his agenda, Kerry said that even if Republicans are victorious on Tuesday, “President Biden is more determined than ever to continue what we are doing.”
***“And most of what we are doing cannot be changed by anybody else who comes along… The marketplace has made its decision to do what we need to do to respond to the climate crisis.”...

Kerry was joined on the WEF panel by fellow DC swamp veteran John Podesta, who now serves as Biden’s senior advisor on clean energy innovation and implementation. The former Chief of Staff for Barack Obama and longtime Clinton ally said that President Biden’s ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ will be integral in pushing the climate movement forward through various tax incentives and other methods to prop up supposedly green industries...

At the outset of the Industrial Revolution in the late 1700s, about 0.03% of the Earth’s atmosphere was comprised of carbon dioxide.

What is it now?

Correct Answer
About 0.04%

It is absolutely true that the the earth will get far colder in the next 5000 years. We are lucky to be living now. Because 80% of every 100,000 years the earth is extremely cold with ice covering most of Europe. We don’t know when in the next 5000 years. It could start tomorrow. But it will happen as it has for the past million years. We should not worry about global warming. We will freeze for sure.

The climate crowd reminds me of the Holy Grail movie where the mob wants to burn the guy with the carrot on his nose because he's a witch. He turned one peasant into a newt, but he got better....

Connie Booth, who played the witch, was definitely not a guy.

Your not even exaggerating. Climate science has been a farce since day one. It was pushed early on as a way for academics to get grant money from congress. Congress needed a new crisis for political reasons, a crisis can create a path forward for reelection. And everybody knows, you can make big money during a crisis, so big business was on board almost from the start. The only loser is the average tax payer.

In a casual conversation with my doctor the topic of “climate change” came up. Instead of beginning with CO2 is a trace gas and plant food (not a pollutant) I started with the oceans as a natural thermostat. Previous ice ages had cooled the oceans to where temperatures below 1,000 meters are <40 F. Upwelling brings cold water to the surface and downwelling takes warm surface water back to the bottom. The oceans play an important role in maintaining an equilibrium in our climate system using networks of overturning, for example, the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC).

The doctor asked about the winter of 2022/23. I stayed with the oceans and discussed the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO). Here in the U.S. we are entering our third year (unusual) under the influence of La Niña, a cold current of upwelling Pacific water that develops off of the west coast of Mexico and South America. La Niña generally brings milder winters to the Mid-Atlantic states, cold and snow to the Pacific Northwest and continued drought in the Southwest. I am a snowbird and always on the lookout for Arctic air outbreaks that may bring snow to the east (a hedge).

El Niño is a change from upwelling to downwelling in the Eastern Pacific waters off of the west coast of the Americas. The downwelling collects warm water from farther west in the tropical Pacific and results in warming in the region. The El Niño/La Niña oscillation follows a five to seven year cycle but being a nonlinear and dynamic system, ENSO is difficult to predict.

Walking out of the office the doctor walked with me and suggested that I give a presentation to students at a nearby university. I answered “no, they would not have me because I am a climate denier.”

Previous ice ages had cooled the oceans to where temperatures below 1,000 meters are <40 F.

The other way around. Cooling oceans caused the ice ages. The oceans are still being cooled continuously in the North Atlantic and around most of Antarctica. Only the north Pacific lacks deepwater formation and doesn't make much difference. Simply put, the geography of the ocean basins has created a million year ice age (which we are still in) along with nearly catastrophic low levels of CO2.

The AMOC is caused by the cold deepwater formation. It is also the way of spreading out the cold as you point out, but it's caused by winter and winter isn't going away.
