The city confirms nine of the 10 staff members at the shooting complex have lead levels above the normal range.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -- The city has no timeline for when Oahu’s only public shooting range will reopen as an investigation into elevated lead levels in the majority of workers at the facility begins.

The city confirmed nine of 10 staff members at the shooting complex who were tested have lead levels above the normal range. Two additional staff members declined to get tested.

A timeline of exactly when the city first became aware current employees had been exposed to lead remains unclear. Officials would only tell Hawaii News Now it was brought to their attention this year.

And it isn’t because of lead projectiles. Primers contain lead, up to 35% Lead Peroxide.

From a politician in another report on this:

“Tests were well below the OSHA established levels of concern”

Honolulu liberals have been trying to close the shooting range for years.

Several different hoaxes have been tried to show it to be dangerous.

Mystery bullets “found” near houses.
A van with a “bullet hole” in the top with no bullet to be found.

A novel strategy to deny law abiding citizens their constitutional rights.

New York has employed another clever strategy...days after the Bruen decision they passed a law stating that licensing authorities can look at your social media posts to determine if an applicant is fit to possess a firearm. They also unilaterally declared a huge portion of Manhattan as a “gun free zone”.

Knowing that they'll never be able to repeal,or modify, the 2nd Amendment the Rats will always come up with ways to defy the parts of the Constitution for which they have contempt.

Close the police gun ranges for the same reason.

This will be taking all the available commerical ad spots not already being used by the Camp Lejeune shysters. Marines who drank the water and used the range at Oahu are in for a significant, significant wad of significant compensation.

Thank god lead doesn’t occur naturally in the ground; we’d all be dead.

Exactly. However I know several avid cowboy shooters who test their lead levels, due to volume of shooting and shooting mostly steel targets at close range.

They live in the land of active volcanoes spewing clouds of noxious chemicals and they’re worried about a little Pb.

Lead, from ammo, is inert.
It doesn’t cause “lead poisoning”.

There may be a case from processing and handling molten lead in making ammo, but not in spent lead laying around.

Santa Cruz, People’s Republic of CA shut down the pistol and small bore range at Delaveaga Park years ago. Ca is or will soon require all copper only rounds for hunts throughout the state.

It worked so well for condors, they figgerd ‘Why not?’
It only costs a few cents per round and a background check.

I’m a cowboy shooter since 2001. I shoot a lot. Mold my own bullets and reload my own ammo. I got tested for lead and other heavy metals. Zip zero nada.

“Normal”?

Who decides?

The CDC?

Big pharma?

Meritless Garland?
