The AMerican Stasi State

Back in the mid-80s, I was a young Army Paratrooper Lieutenant assigned to the 325th Airborne Battalion Combat Team in Vicenza Italy. Each January-February we did training exchange rotations with the famed Berlin Brigade ....

While in West Berlin, by agreement, members of our military could travel into East Berlin through Checkpoint Charlie. ....

East German secret police, known as the Stasi. They would be shadowing us. Stasi was part of a brutal regime that imprisoned their political opposition; many of whom were never to be heard from again. .... America is becoming a Stasi state.

Over the past year, we have seen parents who resisted the indoctrination of their children be attacked. How interesting it is that the National Association of School Boards, ... wrote a letter to the U.S. Attorney General demanding that parents showing up at school board meetings be designated as domestic terrorists. And even in the Lone Star State of Texas, we had two dads arrested in their homes, before their families, at night, in Round Rock Texas all because they spoke up about transparency and their disagreement with the current superintendent. ....

Who knows, perhaps one day, I will have the late-night banging upon my door because I dare to cower in fear, intimidated into silence, afraid for my family. Perhaps I will have my bank account suspended as have so many others. The funding of 87,000 new IRS agents is not in the interest of the American people. It is in the interest of the American Stasi state, to be weaponized against political opponents.

Unity for the progressive socialist leftists and Marxists means conformity...or else. I find it funny because during the Trump presidency all we heard from the left was "Resist.” Thanks, y'all, that is exactly what I plan to do...Steadfast and Loyal.

West has hit the nail on the head. YET I still see the same morons in my neighborhood who had Biden/Ho signs last election with Democrat candidate signs this election. Didn't their savings go in the toilet with the rest of us? Do they really want more criminals loose in the population while at the same time want their means of self defense stripped away? Are they happy with million of illegal aliens coming to devour our welfare dollars and to be supported by those of us who work and pay taxes? They must want all these things.

Good to hear from Col. West - he’s been relatively quiet over the last couple years.

The Stasi accumulated 900 million to 1 billion pages of data on their citizens in its 40 year existence.
The NSA and CIA gather that about roughly every two days now on us.

This is the most intense surveillance state that has ever existed in human history. East Germans with Stasi, a Soviet babushka sitting at the bottom of the stairs is almost quaint by comparison.

This all started in America with the concept of a “hate crime”. That has now morphed into “hate speech”.

Old-time liberals believed in protecting all speech, even if they disagreed with it.
Modern liberals label all speech they don’t like as hate speech. And all behavior they don’t like is labeled hate behavior. Haters must be punished! No exceptions!

It will take another Reagan to reverse all this. Unfortunately, I see no new Reagan on the horizon.

I believe it started long before that.

There is a difference in being pragmatic, using reason and being functional minded vs. having a belief in something.

For example, I believe in God and the Bible, but I can’t prove it to you as a factual scientific fact to be true.

These folks might make fun of people like me who have faith in a God and a Bible, but they put all their faith in “humanity, government, and man made philosophy.” Socialism, a massive government is for them the solution to every problem, it’s ethical (rights all wrongs), it’s simply put their god.

For many of them, they could be in a gulag after their kid turns them in for saying the wrong thing and still cling to their belief.

You’re right. James Bamford wrote about the NSA forty years ago in his book The Puzzle Palace. It’s still worth reading.

“Hate speech” has now morphed into “stochastic terrorism,” which attempts to criminalize conservative speech as an objective enticement to violence. Of course, leftist speech is immune from this charge no matter how provocative it is or how much violence is perpetrated by those who agree with it. For example, examine the vast disparity between the left’s response to its own BLM rhetoric (”system racism”/”war on black people”), which contributed to scores of riots, and the “stolen election” rhetoric, which - setting aside the issue of possible Fed involvement - contributed to one riot.

By golly, you’re right. It’s rather obvious, and I don’t know how I missed it.
Thanks.

Went to visit family in East Germany and Yugoslavia in the early 80. There were cops everywhere.

When I ask my cousin about them, he said “They are there to listen.”

Also got to go back to Brandenberg Gate shortly after it fell. What a great day.

We are headed down the wrong road courtesy of the WEF.

Yep. That is pure back of the envelope math, extrapolated from just what they admit to. I happily concede that it is at least twice as bad as they say!

People do not seem to realize we live in the most pervasive domestic surveillance regime in all of human history. And the fact that it is not for our benefit, and that it is secret should not be lost on anyone.
