In 2019, the New York Times described the Azov Battalion as, "a Ukrainian neo-Nazi paramilitary organization."

In 2022, the New York Times simply describes the Azov Battalion as 'celebrated' and shows 'heartwarming' reunion pics. The NYT lowered their standards to accept fascism again, after their previous descent into the trash can during WWII.
