Col Douglas Macgregor - the build up for a Russian offensive in November
Col. Douglas Macgregor: "Keep in mind, these reservists are going into groups of Russian forces that are collecting in the south and on the borders in western part of Russia and Belorussia. These forces are going to be quite large by the time they amass. They won't be used in mass in a concentrated fashion until November. What you're seeing happen right now after all of these massive counterattacks launched by the Ukrainians that achieved, frankly, nothing from a strategic standpoint at all. They have taker such horrendous losses that now local Russian forces are taking back the terrain that was lost. This happening down in Lyman. It's happening in the direction of Bakhmat. It's happening in Kherson. The very few kilometers they managed to scrape out are being lost. I think what we're watching are modest attacks by the Russians to straighten lines and set the conditions for the really large offensive that will break in November."

Glad to hear mcgregor say this. Means high chance it wont happen.
Col Douglas Macgregor (planner for the butchery of Belgrade during the Kosovo War and current Russian propagandist and media hound ) on the build up for a Russian offensive in November - using forcibly conscripted and untrained troops that lack winter clothing and boots without holes, firing WWII rifles and rusty machine guns, while pounding UA troops with WWII and WWI artillery.

Ukraine, with the full backing and support of biden and NATO, are acting like they are fighting a PR war. They attack areas that are so unimportant that Putin doesn’t even try to defend them. But it takes a huge toll on the Ukrainian forces and supplies. Ukraine is fighting like total amateurs. Yet they run out to the media and claim that Russia is retreating and surrendering. This thing will be over by 2023, and the Russian will have everything they want. The worst part for Ukraine is that Russia will end-up with one hell of a lot more they would settled for in a negotiated piece. How stupid can Ukraine and the west be? Seriously, this is more embarrassing then the Afghan withdraw. And then you have this membership of morons here on FR that in the face of this obvious travesty continue to push ridiculous propaganda non-stop.
You forgot pulling T-62s out of mothballs.
Pulling 1960s vintage tanks out of the boneyard. Begging for 1970s vintage tanks from Belarus. Watching their most strategic bridge blow up. Having the power grids of Russian cities targeted. Buying low tech drones from Iran because their modern frontline fighters keep getting shot down. Having general after general get fired. Conscripting 300,000 very rusty reservists into a conflict that was supposed to be over in a few weeks. All signs of Russian military strategic brilliance. Meanwhile, they continue to lose what they prematurely declared as Russian territory. Against a military morons like MacGregor say no longer exists. It’s a sight to behold.
Right you are right there is so much WWII stuff coming out its hard to track - perhaps, if Belarus didn’t donate 800 T-72s to Orcland, the Pooties would be bringing out T-34s and SU-1s.
Yeah, McGregor seems to favor the Russians in his analysis. I’d be waiting to see before placing any bets.
” firing WWII rifles and rusty machine guns, while pounding UA troops with WWII and WWI artillery.”
FACT: you are less dead when you are hit by WWI and WWII hardware. The science is clear. That old stuff couldn’t hurt a fly.
Bump.
“Membership of morons” indeed. It’s worse than ever.
Question, if Kherson falls in the next couple of months would that be enough for you to admit Russia is losing?
Wake me up when Ukraine controls their own airspace.
Fact: WWII hardware is easier take out with modern weapons and more prone to malfunction, if it functions at all. Stop with the obvious conflation and smarmy remarks
Exactly.
I am surely no expert on Russian military history, but know enough that their go-to strategy is to retreat from the fields to let their enemies capture empty territory, where they then get stuck in the snow.
Go to Russia dude.
Col. Douglas Macgregor must have been one of those military geniuses back in February, who claimed that said Russia would roll over Kiev in 7 days. Was he?
Or T-55s being used by Ukraine cause their other tanks are being systematically destroyed......
