Seems Biden admitted responsibility, making clear NS2 would be shut down.

The NS pipeline is 1.6” steel, with a 12” rebar-cement casing. Its 70m below the sea

I’m no expert, but would probably need several hundred lbs (minimum?) of high explosives. Whoever did it also needs ability to get far away and detonate remotely.

I wonder who could manage such a job?

In whose interest is it to sabotage the pipeline?

The Russians?
The Europeans?
The CIA?

This is hardly a whodunnit. If the Russians wanted the Nordstream 2 pipeline to stop, they could press a button on their end, so it’s obviously not Putin. The continental Europeans, whether they admit it or not, are desperate to oil so it’s in their interest that pipeline remains functional. That leaves two suspects: the Ukronazis (who are trying to breach reactors with artillery to poison Europe and drag it into war-so pipeline bombs are nothing) or, our favourite villains, the Anglo Saxon Elites (CIA/Mi6) who, by shutting down N2, will force all gas through Ukraine where Zelensky gets to skim off gas and collect transit fees to pay for endless weapons.

No state on the planet had more to gain from this than the US. And gains to the US are political, strategic and commercial.

Nobody else had anything to gain.

Sabotaging the pipelines is not even close to the sabotaging that Biden and democrats did to the American economy.

Likely more than 50 trillion dollars hit on the economy, but could be closer to 100 trillion.

The Nord Stream offshore pipeline is ordered and operated by Nord Stream AG.[16][26] It runs from Vyborg compressor station at Portovaya Bay along the bottom of the Baltic Sea to Greifswald in Germany. The length of the subsea pipeline is 1,222 km (759 mi), of which 1.5 km (.93 mi) is in Russian inland, 121.8 km (65.8 nmi) in Russian territorial waters, 1.4 km (.8 nmi) in the Russian Exclusive Economic Zone, 375.3 km (202.6 nmi) in the Finnish economic zone, 506.4 km (273.4 nmi) in the Swedish economic zone, 87.7 km (47.4 nmi) in Danish territorial waters, 49.9 km (26.9 nmi) in the Danish economic zone, 31.2 km (19.3 nmi) in the German economic zone, 49.9 km (26.9 nmi) in German territorial waters and .5 km (.31 mi) on land in Germany.[53] The pipeline has two parallel lines, each with capacity of 27.5 billion cubic meters (970 billion cubic feet) of natural gas per year. Pipes have a diameter of 1220 mm (48 in), a wall thickness of 38 mm (1.5 in) and a working pressure of 220 bars (22 MPa).[16]

I'm hearing reports the USS Kearsage was in the vicinity. Any intel on that?

I don't buy the idea that Russia or the Eurozone masters were responsible. The producers of the gas can just turn the OFF valve, they don't need to sabotage anything. And the consumers are desperate for the gas. Who gains? An article in The National Interest months ago asserted the US would be the chief obstacle to peace in Ukraine. I didn't really appreciate that at the time, but since then there are been multiple reports of the US and lackeys in London and Brussels scuttling peace efforts. So at this point the Biden administration is my chief suspect.

Russia cannot break supply contracts without breaking rubles. So Russia breaks pipeline to cut supply.

In Russia, pipeline breaks you!

Oddly it could have been done on the Russian end with ease. In oil pipelines we send what we call “pigs” down the line to clean out accumulations of waxes that are contained in petroleum. This is very normal. It is just keeping the pipeline clean. The pigs push out the wax and are recovered down pipeline and the wax disposed off. It would be simple to blow up a pipeline if the pig was a pig that was explosive. One could even determine the desired position of explosion rather precisely. It should be noted this was a natural gas pipeline in no need of pigs as in crude oil lines.
