Schiff: Trump Thinking He Can Declassify Without a Process Shows How Dangerous He Is
Breitbart ^ | 09/25/2022 | Pam Key

Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that former President Donald Trump claiming a president can declassify information by thinking about it showed how dangerous he is to the national security of the United States.

Last week on Fox News, Trump said, “There doesn’t have to be a process, as I understand it. You know, there’s different people who say different things. As I understand, there doesn’t have to be. If you’re the president of the United States, you can declassify just by saying, ‘It’s declassified.’ Even by thinking about it.

The fact that Schiff thinks the elected President must bow and scrape before unelected bureaucrats to beg permission to declassify shows how dangerous Schiff is.

Impeaching a sitting President without any evidence is dangerous also. But you’re still office Adam. So when will you resign?

Let’s think about what Trump said....Thinking is a preliminary action to doing it. Something like reading or having Kim’s letters recorded out loud....declassifies them. No further action is required.

Where are the documents declassifying every document Obama has in his library?

A ‘process’ is written to keep the underlings orderly, not the boss. The boss can overrule the ‘process’ with one word (or thought).

Yeah but there’s a giant difference between what Trump says to his followers at a rally or on truth social, and what his lawyers say on his behalf in court. He knows not to say this wacky stuff when it actually matters

Since the elected President is at the top of the Executive Branch food chain, who gets to tell him, “No, you can’t” when it comes to an executive decision?

If there is a process dictated by a law passed by Congress, can Schiff cite it for us?

Schiff thinking that Trump can’t declassify as he likes, especially when written in the rules in plain English, shows how dangerous schiff is to the republic!

Yo Schitty! What about your boy, Jo Jo signing every piece of paper his Snowflakes place in front of him without going through the process? Clean up you own back yard, idiot.

There is a process in place mandated by each agency - the head of which has original classification authority and therefore original declassification authority. But the President is the ultimate origin of all classification and declassification authority.

It is what follows from the "unitary presidency" created by our constitution.

The President of the United States does not have to abide by any rules that govern a bureaucratic process that is entirely within the executive branch of the U.S. government.

Schiff has built his public opposition to Trump around this absurd notion that the President actually answers to unelected bureaucrats within the executive branch of the Federal government.

The most relevant statute is the Presidential Records Act, which basically states that whatever records the President takes with him are considered his personal property. So besides being yet another warrant obtained illegally, the FBI's seizure of documents are theft.
