No one is binary. Binary refers to a system in which there are two different entities, or which can have only one out of two possible values at the same time. Like bits in computer memory. On or off. No in-betweens.
So the species Homo Sapiens is binary when referring to an individual’s sex. Same is true for all mammals.

It appears that the BAA will use the woman qualifying times for the non-binary category. That means that men who don’t quite qualify under the male time, can register as non-binary. Since the number of entrants is capped, this results in fewer female entries accepted. Good work BAA!

If this keeps men from destroying women’s races, fine. The dreams of too many female athletes have been destroyed by these sleazy men running, swimming or otherwise competing as women.
This actually will be useful. We’ll be able to better see the times of men pretending to be women who “win” this category to compare it against the times for normal men. There should be betting on how poorly they compare to the normal men.
