The war was started by Putin. It is purely about Putin's ego.

The war was started by the globalists. It’s a stupid war. When the US wanted Ukraine to join NATO, that was the red line Putin said not to cross. Putin didn’t start it, but Biden/Zelensky helped start it.

Ukraine also recaptured nearly 200 square miles in the southern region of Kherson in recent days, in an offensive that aimed to cut off thousands of Russian soldiers stationed west of the Dnipro River in territory that Russia claimed in the initial stages of its invasion.

“… It is purely about Putin’s ego.”
************************************

Objectively I think it was more about Russian and Ukrainian nationalisms along with the greed, miscalculations and mismanagement of Biden and his puppet masters.

Summary

Thank you for reading today’s Ukraine live blog. We will have more updates tomorrow. It is nearly 1am in Ukraine here’s what has happened in the ongoing conflict today.

Since the beginning of September, Ukrainian forces have taken back 2,400 square miles of Russian-held territory, Reuters reports.

Russian troops have left behind stockpiles of ammunition and other supplies following Ukraine’s days long counteroffensive in Kharkiv Oblast, the Kyiv Independent reports.

The United States assesses that Russia has largely ceded its gains near Kharkiv and many retreating Russian soldiers have exited Ukraine, moving over the border back into Russia, a senior US military official said on Monday, Reuters reports.

The Ukrainian authorities have said they are capturing so many prisoners of war among Russian soldiers retreating from occupation of the north-eastern region that the country is running out of space to put them, the Associated Press reports.

The military command of the Russian federation has stopped sending new units into Ukraine following a dramatic Ukrainian counter-offensive that has reshaped the war and left Moscow reeling, the general staff of the armed forces of Ukraine said Monday.

Municipal deputies from 18 districts of Moscow and St Petersburg have signed a public statement demanding that Vladimir Putin resign. “We, the municipal deputies of Russia, believe that the actions of President Vladimir Putin harm the future of Russia and its citizens.”

It is my understanding that this organization does a good job tracking the battlefield positions.

A while back, leaked documents exposed the Ukrainian military and showed that around half of the Ukrainian military was dead, could never fight again, went AWOL, etc, a far higher percentage than Russia is experiencing.

This is why Ukraine had no choice but to bet it all on going offensively.

This leak of Ukrainian documents, that was reported on extensively, occurred around the time of Zelensky’s purge of government officials.

So many libtard MSM stories propping up Ukraine have eventually been exposed as lies over the months and truth be told the Ukrainian military is in a world of hurt - far more than the MSM will admit - but which conservative outlets have reported on.

Hate to piss in your Wheaties, but Russia moved its troops elsewhere for a different operation so this is hollow victory as Russia basically did what needed to be done and left the aftermath to Zelensky to clean up.

The invasion was the major event. This is just guessing on the aftermath.

For Zelensky it is about getting Ukraine back, rebuilding, and future security. The question for Putin and Russia is, if it dampens their imperial ambitions to create a new CCCP or not. What the US and Europe does depends on if Putin's ambitions are tempered or not.

Russia should have known better than to attack a nation friendly to the USA on mostly wide open terrain with great visibility.

The war was started in 2014 with the US led coup of the then Ukraine pro-Russian government and went on for 8 years against the Russian speaking Ukrainian citizens in the Southern and South-East regions of Ukraine via incessant shelling, etc. of them till the Russians were asked to intervene, which they did.

Russia wants to steal Ukraine for military and economic strategic reasons including natural resources, land routes, additional sea ports and human resources. To the Russians, Ukraine would be another gateway to conquer Europe as a next step.

Besides other important natural resources, Ukraine has good land for very large grain crops. Russia desires to control and eventually own all of Europe, but that desire would not stop with Europe.

Governments like the government of Russia tend to control their populations by vilifying and invading other nations, and they don’t willingly stop expanding. Only other nations can hold such compulsive bully nations at bay, and eventually running out of room to compromise, stop them.

David Ignatius is a criminal who pushed the Russia Collusion hoax against Trump. You might love what he says, but that says you’re nuts.
