How many BLM rioters saw ANY jail time for assaulting cops? How many were sentenced to a year in jail? Six months?

As a former fed LEO I was assaulted several time as were all my coworkers. The only times the perps were prosecuted was if the agent was seriously injured and hospitalized.
Otherwise nothing, you were expected to scrap and win. I can say that everyone who assaulted me received an appropriate amount of justice during the arrest process.

How badly was the cop injured? That’s the only variable that should decide the Marine’s sentence. Seventeen years is only fitting if the cop’s still on a respirator. But then we’re dealing with The Big Guy’s Department of Just Us.

17 years is roughly twice the length of the sentence Dan White got for killing George Moscone and Harvey Milk. I guess the Marine did not use the Twinkie defense.
