JEFFERSON CITY — John Wood, a former investigator for the Jan. 6 committee who launched an independent bid for U.S. Senate in Missouri, said Tuesday he was withdrawing from the race.
Wood, who positioned himself as a conservative alternative to the Democratic and Republican nominees, said there was no path forward for his bid after controversial ex-Gov. Eric Greitens lost to Attorney General Eric Schmitt on Aug. 2 in the Republican primary.

I guess that the RINO Jack Danforth. Could not get enough support for his buddy John Wood. It would not surprise me to see Danforth endorse Trudy Busch Valentine for the open Senate seat in Missouri.

“In 1999, Democratic U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno appointed Danforth to lead an investigation into the FBI's role in the 1993 Waco Siege. Danforth appointed Democratic U.S. Attorney Edward L. Dowd Jr. for the Eastern District of Missouri as his deputy special counsel. He also hired Bryan Cave partner Thomas A. Schweich as his chief of staff. Assistant U.S. Attorney James G. Martin served as Danforth’s director of investigative operations for what became known as the “Waco Investigation” and its resulting “Danforth Report”.”
Danforth’s name will forever be linked with Janet Reno and the whitewash of the killing of all those children.
Reliable Danforth.

Danforth had no influence in Missouri. He is yesterday’s news.

“Wood, who positioned himself as a conservative alternative “
Now that is just down right laughable.

We know that Danforth is a liberal RINO. He was instrumental in “giving” away the Panama Canal.

You are absolutely correct.
Note that there are few comments on this. No big news story. No one cares about an old man in mom jeans mumbling about flame throwers.
At the same time, Jack had 20 to 40 million lined up. That is obscene.

So this thread is about some guy named Danforth and not the John Wood the article is about? ok

Isn’t he an Episcopal Priest now who officiated for the funeral of Ronald W. Reagan, POTUS40? And wasn’t he the college roommate of the father of Bush’s VP John Danforth Qualye who subsequently named Dan Qualye for him?
