Donald Trump Jr. triggered the left on Monday by saying Navy SEAL friends tell him they spend more time on diversity training than shooting.
“I have friends on SEAL teams that told me they spend more time now in diversity training than they do shooting,” he said during a campaign event for Florida State House candidate Carolina Amesty on August 19.
After the left accused Trump Jr. of lying, Navy SEAL veteran and podcaster Robert O’Neill, who famously delivered the kill shot to terrorist leader Osama bin Laden, tweeted:
He’s telling the truth. I’ve had this discussion with @DonaldJTrumpJr and so have other SEALs. Retention is an issue and so is recruitment. This is more than a political talking point. It’s happening and it’s not good.
Retired Navy SEAL Derrick Van Orden told Breitbart News in an interview on Monday that sailors, including Navy SEALs, were indeed spending too much time on diversity training to the detriment of other critical skills.
“The amount of time that the military and special operations [are] spending on diversity, equity, and inclusion training is superseding a lot of the actual combat training,” he said.
“The military is spending an inordinate amount of time on the subjects that really don’t pertain to warfighting,” he continued.
He said Navy SEALs also have to complete diversity training. For one team of about 200 Navy SEALs, two hours of diversity training equals 400 training hours not devoted to critical skills.
“We’re teaching them to recognize race and gender. And we’re not teaching them how to fix an M-4 or how to shoot them, or operate at high margins, or to fix a helicopter or to maintenance on a vessel or put out a fire,” he said.

The left cant even define what a woman is. They say men can have babies and women have penises. They have no business teaching anyone, anything.
So the military is becoming like your average neighborhood public school.
Shoot, I’ve worked in aircraft and space acquisitions since retiring from uniform, and it is the same.
OK, maybe a bit of hyperbole, but we spend waaaay too much time with non-core activities and training.
Just because the RATS turned the government into a FREAK SHOW, it doesn’t mean the Pentagon should be a Freak Show also.

It’s everywhere, I see it at the military facility I work at all the time. Just another reason why I’m glad retirement could be right around the corner. I want out of this madness.

No it doesn’t unless they are shooting at each other. It’s a two hour block for 200 troops. Let’s don’t get so dramatic here. These troops are out 24 a day, 7 a week, and they will get the training they need. Just because they don’t like it let’s not look for ways to confuse the curriculum. Each one loses a two hour block that is less than they train physically.
And the article mentioned lacking certain skills like firefighting. The navy trains positions, not skills. They train firefighters to do that and they train people to work ships engines.
One of the points that was made during my years is that if a ship goes down, and the ranking person is a navy master chief, he can probably fix anything in that engine room. But he doesn’t know how to command because they don’t teach that. It’s not a personal attack, it just exists.

Now if there is a need for certain career fields to receive further training than established, there are lights on the range. And all personnel are required to qualify annually. That is a one day event. And that covered on page 1-2, c-1.
All this is a political effort to go after the libs and it is not exactly telling the truth. We need to do better.

4 hours for sexual harassment training
2 hours for transexual awareness training
2 hours for anti-extremist (e.g. anti-white conservative) training 2 hours for suicide awareness training etc., etc. When you add it all up, it DOES add up to a significant number of hours that are not being devoted to critical skills, and some of this training requires travel to a seminar session led by a civilian, so the travel time wastes additional hours. Sounds like you got out long ago before all this crap started, but it has been out of control starting with Obama and getting worse every day.

I talked to her this week and she said her sister was in the process of creating a “picture collage” about her, her family, friends, and pets for work.
I asked where she’s working ‘cause I thought she was going to work for
******. I asked, “Is she teaching middle school or something?”. Nope. Management with ******.
