The NBA will be off on Election Day.
The league's schedule for the coming season will have all 30 teams playing on Nov. 7, the night before the midterm elections. The NBA is hoping teams use that night as an opportunity to encourage fans to get out and vote, plus amplify the need for civic engagement.
But on Nov. 8, which is Election Day, no NBA teams have games scheduled. Teams are being encouraged to share election information -- such as registration deadlines -- with their fan bases in the weeks leading up to Nov. 8.
Ooops. I meant ESPN, not Associated Press. Edit if you can.
Sorry, but I don’t really want those who would pass on voting because of a basketball game to bother to vote at all.
It’s a ruse. They want us to believe that Dims depend on real voters voting instead of the cheat by male, Dominion software, not verified counting they’ve mastered.
Good for a league in bed with our Deep State and the ChiComs...?
All the colored ball players have been given the day off and told to vote for their libtard masters
Well that’s just common sense. That is when water mains break in the arenas.
Liquor stores closed, no NBA. I hate election day.
Do the voting on a Saturday. Most everyone’s off. I’d allow vets and seniors vote the day before. Make that Friday Veterans Day.
Might take a change to the constitution. Contingencies may need to be made for a hurricane warning. Earthquakes? Unpredictable. Positives and negatives either way.
I like your idea. I could vote as a vet. And then I could vote as a senior.
The NBA should take maybe three weeks off so their “fans” can help count the “votes”.
You know with all this newfangled technology it takes so much longer to get election results than it used to. Wonder why??????
