The House of Representatives on Friday voted to pass the $700 billion “Inflation Reduction” Act, which would not reduce inflation, and 158 of the lawmakers voted by proxy.

The 158 lawmakers decided to vote by proxy at a time when there has been controversy surrounding the capability, as the Senate still required its members to vote in person.

They no longer have to go to D.C. to vote to take our money and destroy our nation. They can work-from-home! How sweet it must be!

House of Representatives: 220 Democrats. 210 Republicans. 5 vacancies.

Senate: 50 Democrats. 50 Republicans.

It’s amazing how unified Democrats are compared to Republicans. Democrats can pass the most extreme legislation through congress with the slimmest of majorities. Republicans couldn’t do that when they were in control of congress.

Increasing government spending to fight inflation? I learned in high school that increased government spending increases demand, which in turn increases prices. This is not rocket science, folks.

we were, are, and always will be ...a word that the Left HATES...INDIVIDUALS.

Sometimes, that works against us, but please don’t take that away. We will work around it and we SHALL OVERCOME.

In the U.S. Constitution, Article 1 Section 5 states:
Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members, and a Majority of each shall constitute a Quorum to do Business; but a smaller Number may adjourn from day to day, and may be authorized to compel the Attendance of absent Members, in such Manner, and under such Penalties as each House may provide.

Both houses have rules which, they say, "over rule the Constitution".

Would be awesome if a subsequent congress could find a way to declare that vote (and any other proxy votes) invalid and therefore no longer affecting current law, but it’s not going to happen.

The vote was illegal so it should be declared “invalid”. Someone should appeal to the Supreme Court.

Manchin and Sinema knew this bill was wrong for America but they sold out America anyway. The went into treasonous lockstep with the communist party.
