I suspect that this law may be unconstitutional, with regard to the office of POTUS. The constitution sets down the qualifications for office, and the only constitutional disability to assuming that post that I know of is Section 3 of the XIV amendment.
But with the ascension of Obama and Harris to their offices, we appear to have negated Article II, section one, clause 5, so who knows what they will do?
It’s the same reason they took Steve Bannon and James O’Keefe’s electronics - so they could get inside and strategic information and conversations of Republicans.
Federal law is not superior to the Constitution. The qualifications for the presidency are clearly laid out in Article II of the Constitution, and federal law cannot amend that.
The only bar to holding the office of President is impeachment and removal, the 14th amendment prohibition via a finding of insurrection, or the 25th amendment finding of incapacitation.
This will go nowhere.
