The Russians have captured some American MERCs, but be assured, the Russians don’t treat them as POWs nor give them POW status cause they MERCs so they get sent to a prison to rot or are just straight up killed. You won’t here about them tho from the Western or US propaganda machine - narrative has to be maintained: Russia/Putin bad.

Most of the stuff that breaks is mechanical. If they can maintain hydraulics and trucks they can maintain HIMARS. The FCS does not require maintenance. Most of it is Line Replaceable Units (plug in the fix).
