As long as the population centers control the narrative and outnumber rural voters, rural voters will lose. Mrs rktman's solution----on county, one vote. If a measure wins in one county then it gets 1 vote. And reverse. Hey, at least it would make the demokkkommies have to cheat harder out in the boonies.

Unconstitutional. And unlike the “right” to abortion, the constitution is clear: Shall not infringe on the right to bear arms.

If anywhere doesn’t need guns, it’s safe, lunatic-free Oregon…

Yes, an electoral college system for the state.

I don’t see how this can stand if passed given the recent SCOTUS ruling.

except for current owners, law enforcement and the military.

I hear there's a 78 minute waiting period before law enforcement can use its weapons, also.

But only if children are in danger.

Yup. I've begun to think the same: all statewide elections, state and Federal, should be decided by a majority of counties.

I think this is the only way to nullify big city vote fraud by Dems.

That will boost sales from now to the election!
If I were still a Firearms Manufacturer this would be great news for me until the new unconstitutional infringements took effect.
By then I might have made enough to comfortably retire.

Expect the next vote to be imposing “Ex-Post’Facto” confiscations.
Apparently these lunatics WANT blood!

citizens don’t get to decide if they like a constitutional, and more importantly, an inalienable right or not-

Will they start kicking in doors to confiscate the ‘illegal’ weapons?

"Voters" will decide nothing.

The people on the Democrat Party State Committee who write up the "election results" will decide what happens to this legislation. And the US Constitution will not restrain them.

Stupid... But I’m also getting really sick of law enforcement and military exemptions. Its time they be treated equally.

Does it say “active duty” members of the military. By the Militia Act of 1903 all able-bodied men between ages 17 and 45 are members of the Reserve Militia, and thus members of the military.

I remember when citizen initiatives were used to reign-in government power, not to expand it.

I know for sure that my Oregon Constitutional Sheriff will not enforce un Constitutional gun laws. But he will not be able to thwart the new law to get gun stores to sell to you. He will never show up to take them, he has said so.

Doesn’t Oregon do almost all of its voting through, Mail In Ballots?

IIRC, there was an article that detailed how the state adopted, mail in voting, and from that point on it’s been radical Leftism.

The borders of Washington and Oregon need to be redrawn. Needs to go North-South. Give the liberals the coast. I was told by a friend that lives in Washington, definitely NOT a liberal, that if they got everything west of the Cascades, all would be good.

Mrs rktman’s solution——on county, one vote.....basically, a state level electoral college. Although I’d give each county 3 votes. One person wins over 60%, they get all 3 votes. 50-59.9 they get 2, loser gets 1. That way, IMHO, they loser can’t say that their voters voices aren’t being heard.

“We’re not banning free speech, we’re just banning any use of the letter E and any use of the future tense. There are still 25 letters remaining, and lots of other tenses. Therefore, this isn’t an infringement on freedom of speech or of the press. Have a nice day.”

Hawaiihas been doing this for years. Hard to fight through the courts when we have this 9th Circus to contend with.
many here ignore the registration, permit to acquire, 10 mag ban etc. etc.
We just go to safe states to get our guns. We still can’t get concealed carry as the police chiefs( they give out the permits when they feel like it and they to date have never felt like it) are dragging their feet and they know we can’t get through the court system in less than ten to fifteen years.
We only have 1.5 million people in the whole state so the NRA and GOA don’t bother with us, too small of a fish.
The only reason we have low crime is that we lack a particular culture in our very diverse state and I suspect most of that culture that is here is in the military.
