Step 5. India buys Russian oil;
Step 6. India refines the oil ;
Step 7. India sells the gasoline and other products to the US below cost of other producers;
Step 8. Other gasoline producers shut down.
Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t this basically a middle finger at Biden from the Saudis?
I thought they might be buying Russian oil and re-selling it at a big profit.
“Punishing Putin” continues to proceed poorly.
Time, once again, for that particular Dilbert strip that explains why sanctions and boycotts don’t work.
“Oil is a fungible commodity.”
It is and it is sponsored by the Suicide Sanctions.
Huh? Is the article written in Biden language??
Saudi-Arabien verdoppelt Ölimporte aus Russland
Online seit gestern, 21.00 Uhr
Besonders viel
For English speaking Freepers, here is something other than gobble gook from some foreign country:
SAUDI ARABIA’S STRATEGIC OIL RESERVES ARE RUNNING OUT: IMPORTS LARGE QUANTITIES OF RUSSIAN OIL WITH EGYPT AS AN INTERMEDIATE COUNTRY
July 9, 2022
In the shock revelation that Saudi Arabia’s strategic oil reserves are running out, and the “source” is drying up, international analysts proceed, noting that the Kingdom now imports large quantities of Russian oil with Egypt as an intermediate country.
This means that Saudi Arabia’s oil reserves and strategic reserves are running out, bringing energy Armageddon even closer.
We had reported in a previous article that there are signs that “the US is gradually losing Saudi Arabia” but no one had imagined until now that the Kingdom is now largely dependent on Moscow.
This fact is reinforced by two more incidents. The Macron-Biden conversation caught on camera without their knowledge, see exactly what the French president tells him, as well as the reduction in the delivery of Saudi oil to five refineries, mainly Chinese.
I was rather wondering the same thing myself.
Crude is not all the same.
Texas light crude, for example, is basic natural gasoline and kerosine mixed. You can almost just let the water settle out and put it in your car.
Venezuelan crude is heavy and just shy of Vaseline.
Refiners blend these for different purposes.
So Saudi goes to gas while Russian is more suited for a big generator
.
Russian oil is cheaper for the Saudis to import than using their own domestic resources. Wow. And there must be some other financial shenanigans going on between Putin and the Saudi royals.
I also laughed. Saudi Arabia is joining BRICS.
Can you please supply a link for this? I’m not finding a good source for monthly oil exports for Russia.

Here’s some help with basic math.
They pump 51% of the Russian oil out. The oil tanker is now only at 49% capacity. Then they fill it with oil from another source....ie 51% of the capacity of the oil tanker. The entire contents of the oil tanker now meet EU requirements.
Get it yet? I didn’t think it was that difficult to understand.
Oddly the more oil Russia exports the better. More supply means lower prices for the world and Russia. Biden flunked economics 101.
Today US President Joe Biden is expected in Saudi Arabia.
So much for his cover up story of going green no oil BS we have all we need but he knows if he halts the use of it he has more control over our country.
Welcome back to the USSR
I've read that you can't just "shut off" oil wells.
It's apparently not a good idea, and could lead to the flow just totally stopping.
Correct me if I'm wrong about this, oil freepers.
