The world's largest oil exporter, Saudi Arabia, more than doubled its imports of oil for power generation from Russia in the second quarter. According to Reuters news agency, citing Refinitiv date, 642,000 tons of oil reached the Kingdom through Russian and Estonian ports from Apri to June. That equates to 48,000 barrels (159 liters) per day (bpd). In the same period last year, the amount was 320,000 tons.

How can Saudi Arabia buy Russian oil. How dare they. Zelensky better get angry about this...sarc

Zelensky considers Russia a "terrorist state" but so is Saudi Arabia homeland of Al Qaeda and all its offshoots and 15 or the 19 9/11 perps.

“Saudi Arabia uses the imported oil to generate electricity and can then export its own crude oil...”

How does this work?

I had to laugh out loud when I read this.

These “sanctions” against Russia are really working out well.

The lights are going out in Western Europe and Putin is becoming more wealthy selling oil in many places.

I would guess that Russian oil is cheap to buy in bulk at the moment since they have plenty of supply but not as much demand as usual due to sanctions. Also the Russians need to raise cash fast to fund the war effort.

Saudi has been charging a high price for their own oil since the demand is high.

We buy from Saudi, they turn around and give our money to Putin. No one is surprised. The whole thing is a joke. We are funding the invasion of Ukraine.

You just have to wonder if the western media is going to pick up and publish this “oil-laundering....wink-wink” scheme that is going on with Joe's full knowledge?

The Saudis buy refined specialty oil for domestic consumption at cut rate prices and then sell their at capacity crude oil at a far higher market prices

The rules within the EU are that oil must be at least 51% from a source other than Russia. So countries like India or others buy Russian oil and then after pumping 51% out of the tanker fill 51% from another source back into the tanker and then can sell it on in the EU....or maybe they just say its 51% from another source because really, how would you know?

Similarly Saudi Arabia buys oil at a discount from Russia and is then free to export every last drop it pumps....or they could buy even more than they need for domestic energy/water production and pull the same 51% trick and sell that on at a premium to Europe.

The whole thing is a joke. There isn’t enough oil and natural gas. Saying you’re not going to buy from Russia when they’re one of the biggest suppliers accomplishes nothing because all that Russia can export will be used. Who uses it doesn’t really matter. In the end there is no doubt a lot of cheating and plenty of Russia oil doubtless finds its way into the EU anyway.

Russia’s making MORE now selling oil and gas than they were before the war. The sanctions just increased prices and smuggling/cheating. This was inevitable since people still need energy and due to Gaia Worship, the US and EU have decided to hamstring their own energy production.

Isn't Bidet on his knees next to Kameltoho over there begging for more Oil production?

I'm betting when he arrived and crawled up to them, they offered the left hand.

As they should.

Step 1:Saudi Arabia buys Russian oil.

Step 2: Saudi Arabia sell Russian oil to stupid Americans for profit.

Step 3: Saudis and Russians have a good laugh.

Step 4: MSM says Biden solved our energy crisis.

Putin is becoming more wealthy selling oil

Russian Bureau of Statistics released data showing Russia making 1T rubles a month in oil revenue before the war. In June it had fallen to 720B rubles. Not getting more wealthy.

Plus, the GDP is projected to fall some 50% this year. Not getting more wealthy.

after pumping 51% out of the tanker fill 51% from another source

51% + 51% =102% so they overfill, letting the excess go where it may?

No they are not making more now - they were making 1T rubles a month but are only making 720B rubles a month now according to the Russian Bureau of Statistics June release - the most recent one.
