LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively here that he is considering attending the funeral of the assassinated former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and that he is communicating with Abe’s family about the matter.

“We’re going to see how it goes,” Trump said when asked if he would attend Abe’s funeral. “We’re talking to their family. We love the family. His wife is a phenomenal woman. He is so loved in Japan I can imagine that is going to be an incredible celebration of life. He was just very special. Every aspect of that man was just very special. You know he was the first person I saw? Do you remember he came early? He came right after the election—he was the first person I saw. But we had a special relationship. We’re going to see about that, we’re talking about that right now.”

Trump’s comments came during an exclusive interview backstage after an event he hosted with the GOP nominees for U.S. Senate and for governor here in Nevada, former Attorney General Adam Laxalt and Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo. Trump spoke for close to an hour to a packed ballroom at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip Friday night after Laxalt, Lombardo, and several local and national law enforcement personnel hosted a law-and-order-focused panel.

Trump and Abe were the closest of friends during Trump’s time in the White House and Abe’s time as Prime Minister. Perhaps there was no other world leader with whom Trump was as close

If I remember correctly, Japan loves President Trump.
I think they would appreciate this.

Please go, Mr. President. Abe’s family and Japan deserve an American president there they respect.

It would give the media fits to have to show Trump’s reception. So if he does go, it will be censored by the msm.

Understandable given they had developed a deep friendship.

Trump speaks in the old Roman tradition. Always praise the assassinated emperor, even if he was a louse.

My guess is the administration will be pressuring the Abe family and the Japanese government to not invite President Trump. To very strongly not invite him, if Dimjo is not going.
Bad Optics.
If Dimjo goes and President Trump is there, the optics may even be worse.
Just imagine, Japanese media, Government officials and the Abe family fawning over President Trump and Dimjo stumbling around like he did when he invited former President Sparklefarts to the White House.

President Trump was good to and for Japan and they reciprocated. The both worked to stabilize and bring peace in the world. Now look where we’re at - on the precipice of WWIII. We’ll be fortunate, in so many ways, to get President Trump back in 2024.

“If I remember correctly, Japan loves President Trump.”

Someone (maybe Matt Schlapp) on War Room yesterday or Thursday telling about when he visited Japan while PDJT was in office. He saw an ocean of red hats worn by mostly women, but didn’t know what they said. When he got closer he saw that they were MAGA hats.

He asked a woman why MAGA; why not a Japanese themed hat. She said that President Trump is the only one who can protect Japan from China. They do love him there.

The problem is that Japan also has a Deep State.

It might very well be responsible for murdering Abe.

And Japan’s Deep State doesn’t love Trump any more than ours does.

Side note: has the White House (i.e, those who currently occupy it) officially offered any condolences as of yet?
