I was there at America's pinnacle, present temporally and physically, right at the very peak of American power. But I did not know it then. In fact, it would not become clear to me until decades later. On February 24, 1991, I was a few miles west of Hafar al Batin in the Saudi Arabian desert along Tapline Road, at the main command post of the mighty VII Corps with my chemical decontamination platoon …. When President Bush declared the ground war over on February 27, 1991, after about one hundred hours, I did not understand what it meant except in terms of my approximately 20-man unit. We knew we had won—the vaunted Republican Guard, with its Soviet gear, had been swept away by the unstoppable power of the VII Corps's American tanks and the attached Brit armored division. Not just swept away—annihilated, defeated utterly and completely, so decisively that our potential opponents around the world watched in stunned horror as it dawned on them what America could do. It could do any damn thing it wanted.

“Not just swept away—annihilated, defeated utterly and completely, so decisively that our potential opponents around the world watched in stunned horror as it dawned on them what America could do. It could do any damn thing it wanted.”

It has gone downhill ever since.

“It could do any damn thing it wanted.”

That was then, this is now. This military can scarcely wet itself with a water pistol. If not for limited and expensive technology it would be close to nothing. Even that edge is fading fast.

Anybody in needs to get out. Don’t give your life to a bunch of woke, perverse and weak leaders who hate you if you are not some form of queer.

30 years is a long time. A long record of decay that was set in motion long before that. America’s greatness is at least under a rock if not gone. I am not proud of this government. Not at all. This government is brought to us by the people that voted for it. I am something more resentful than not proud of them. I loathe their very presence.

And unfortunately one of the worst decision on military history. Combat should have continued unabated until unconditional surrender by Sadam or death/capture of Sadam and agreement with what was left..then a full de-arming and conditional recovery. The 100 hr war sounded good, but left chaos in its wake.

This dude has a strange way of projecting his opposition to what has become a disaster in our foreign policy and military leadership, since he himself proudly announces in his biographical material that he a tool for those same dopes for most of his adult life.

I mean, seriously ... What normal person in his position today would ever admit that he served in Kosovo?

What was amazing even to me was the might of our military. Yeah I had caught glimpses of it during training exercises. But to see all the might leaving Saudi Arabia night after night, day after day. Returning home without a scratch was a wake up call. Then watching VII Corp passing through our TCP on their way to deliver the Left Hook... WOW!!

You are correct that 100hrs later the whole world KNEW. America could do as she damn well pleased. Once again we chose to resemble the shining city on the hill.

Exactly what needs to be done with Brandon & Co. - and every single damned leftist occupying American soil. No prisoners, no quarter, no mercy. Total anihilation, and nothing less. I believe the military term is “terminate with extreme prejudice.”
