On Thursday’s “Mark Levin Show,” House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) argued that lax prosecution policies from Democrats have allowed people like the subway shooter in New York City to have access to guns and said that “Democrats want to disarm law-abiding Americans. Republicans want to disarm violent criminals.” McCarthy also stated that current gun laws should be enforced more strongly, and “if you enforce the law, you know who would first get in trouble? [President Joe Biden’s] son, Hunter Biden,” for lying on his firearm transaction record.

Communists fear an armed populous.
Is Levin trying to lower his ratings?
No,we want to *imprison* criminals. There’s a difference. And while in prison the only weapons they’ll have are shanks made of broken toothbrushes.
The Chinese would tell you that...as would the North Koreans.
I suggest that in the event of a positive Republican congressional midterm election that Donald Trump be voted in as Speaker of the House.
Then do it.
Words a cheap Kevin.
Letting Hunter lie on his application with zero accountability tells me that any further laws would also be selectively prosecuted. Thus, no more laws and let’s return to prosecuting for broken laws already on the books.
That’s the bottom line and that should be the constant refrain from ALL Republicans.
Trump is not qualified to be speaker of the house.
His knowledge of the house day to day function is near 0
I like your suggestion but Republicans simply don’t want real leadership. McCarthy’s idea of “leadership” is making creative excuses for doing nothing.
If the GOP should win Paul Ryan will be the defacto Speaker. He’ll be the one pulling McCarthy’s strings.
Trump is not qualified to be speaker of the house. His knowledge of the house day to day function is near 0

Are you saying that running the House is more complicated than leading the entire government and this nation’s affairs in the world?
Yes.
The two are not really related. Intimate and detailed knowledge of the House rules and procedures is the primary criteria for the job of Speaker
As Speaker, Trump would render the House ineffective
And, the criminals will gladly turn their weapons in! /S McCarthy is not to be trusted!
Ridiculous.
I guess they are going to come up with legislation to disarm criminals. They’ve already tried to disarmed everyone else.

You’re right. The House needs a steady, experienced hand. Someone well versed in the intricacies of the rules and traditions of the House of Representatives. Someone like Nancy Pelosi.
The two are not really related.

Having been president for four years and having dealt with congress on strategy issues do you think he couldn’t quickly figure out how to get things done?
I also think you’re focusing too much on knowing rules and not the art of leadership, which is far more important. Good leaders are a very rare commodity. No matter how much knowledge of procedure he has McCarthy doesn’t have what it takes to lead IMO. He’s an appeaser, not a leader.
Trump is an extremely quick study. He does his homework. People like that can quickly learn what they need to become successful. Not saying I think Trump should be Speaker, just that he could do it and probably better than the professional politicians whose only measure of ‘success’ is how many excuses they can come up with for not getting things done.
Someone like Nancy Pelosi.

Paul Ryan was a policy wonk, a denizen of DC and a master of details and procedure.
But a miserable failure as Speaker.
Pls see my #17.
Hunter not in trouble he’s like daddy a made guy.
Thats a plus in my book
