According to a criminal complaint, three sex assault charges have been filed against a former Two Rivers High School teacher who admitted to having sex with a pupil.
Rebecca Kilps has been charged with three counts of felony sexual assault on a student by school personnel.
A school social worker phoned a detective on May 23 after receiving information regarding a pupil having a relationship with a teacher.
The detective received a call on May 24 from Rebecca Kilps’ husband, who said he had suspicions and had checked his wife’s phone while she was sleeping. He discovered texts in which Rebecca and the victim were “talking about a future together and stating they love each other.” He went up to her and challenged her. She stated that it was a student and that they had been friends before saying “I love you” and “talking sexually.”
The 17-year-old victim told the investigator that things had “gone too far” and that things had “gone terrible.” He described how he began taking her Freshman Spanish class and continued to do so over the years. He began hanging out in her classroom after school during his junior year. They began exchanging private messages. Things “escalated” in March, he added, and “we talked more and said things we shouldn’t have.”
The victim said they had sex twice at Kilps’ home.

She’s not his age. She is/was a married woman. She started “befriending” him when he was a freshman in high school. She has a position of authority over him as an adult and as a teacher. We can agree to disagree as to the “normalcy”.
Very attractive. I don’t understand whey this is such a regular occurrence.
I know my women teachers were all over a 100.

I had a freshman science teacher who was in her 60’s, announce the first day of class, “My name is ****** *****. No man has ever touched my body...”
A couple of us guys looked at each other and, I know, thought, “Yeah, we can see why!!!!”
She was way beyond weird....
Not guilty. And shame on the boy for throwing her under the bus. Ingratitude is bad. May he never be so lucky again.
She was in a position of authority? I didn’t see that level of detail in the story.... snicker.
It was the husband who spied on her and revealed the affair.

Actually, the girls are all having sex with 22 year old men, the 17 year old guys are blowing up schools.
