Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, on Friday said he has been lied to by law enforcement about the facts around Tuesday's Uvalde school shooting, and said he was 'livid'.
'I was misled,' Abbott said on Friday
'I am livid about what happened. I was on this very stage two days ago, and I was telling the public information that had been told to me in a room just a few yards from where we are write now.
'I wrote hand notes in sequential order.
'When I came out on that stage and told the public what happened, it was a recitation of what everyone told me.
'As everybody has learned, the information I was given turned out - in part - to be inaccurate.
Initially police said that Ramos was wearing body armor and was confronted by an armed guard: on Thursday, they admitted that neither of those facts were true.
They said Ramos was barricaded in a classroom, but it emerged on Wednesday night that the authorities had to get a key to open the door - leading to urgent questions as to why they didn't break it down.
And they said the delay in entering the school was because they were waiting for negotiators -
Officials admitted on Friday that nearly 20 officers stood in a hallway outside of the classrooms during the attack, believing any potential victims inside were already dead.
'Of course it was not the right decision. It was the wrong decision,' Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steven McCraw said at a news conference.
The on-site commander 'was convinced at the time that there was no more threat to the children and that the subject was barricaded and that they had time to organize' to get into the classroom, McCraw said.

Easy. The 17 officers that stayed in the hallway for 74 minutes and their commanding officers should be terminated, if they don’t have the decency to resign. They are all cowards that displayed extreme incompetence.
I can’t believe any fool falls for his ambulance-chasing tactics.

I read that some cops went into the school to get their own kids while some parents were tazed and put in handicuffs to keep them out of going in....
big question is this....are we a nation of mice or men...

People now see how untrustworthy LEOs are in crunch time and they're going to act accordingly. Even libs are questioning why the cops didn't go in.
There won't be no more school shootings. There might be mass shootings elsewhere, but this incident has closed the book on school shootings because now everyone is going to take proactive measures.

Order the Texas Rangers to open an investigation on charges of criminal malfeasance and negligent homicide.
Demand the Texas legislature change laws to strip police departments of qualified immunity in cases such as this.
Publicly demand the Texas AG empanel a Grand Jury to lay charges against the chowder head who gave the stand down order.

What gets me is that after Columbine, I, as a school employee went through new training telling us that we were to fight back in any way possible. Also, LEO’s had totally revamped their methods and were now going in during any active shooting event, rather than just standing around! What happened to that?

They were told to stand down probably because bad information and fear of court decisions.
John Wayne never dealt with a court. These cops are rendered impotent because technology.
US government caused this. In my day the police would have rushed the building. No cell phones, just a landline from inside.

From what I saw on Tucker last night, Abbott was played like a fiddle by the Cover Up Cops.
If the police had engaged the perp immediately he would have been busy fighting them rather than just methodically murdering children.

Sorry, but that was the fatal error, it was merely compounded by poor decisions by police.
And because the media prefers to bash the police instead of the teacher, the profession most responsible for the child safety in schools will fail to take note and continue to leave doors open.
Yes, but notice that the more they talk and the more they lie and make excuses, the more they are hanging themselves.
At this point, no one believes anything they say because everything they have said so far turns out to be a lie.
At this point, I doubt that anyone in town will ever associate with them....19 dead kids and two teachers are a sure and certain condemnation to hell.
