More than once, as with Libya, NATO wasn’t defending against a nation being an aggressor towards them, given that NATO offensively bombed Libya on Odumba’s behalf on unproven allegations that Gaddafi was going to kill 10k of his own people.
Libya wasn’t and isn’t a country in NATO.
The NATO treaty is being talked about now because of Finland and Sweden seeking membership. Those countries are primary targets for the Russian aggression, just like Ukraine was and is. Should we (NATO) deny them membership, just because of what happened in the past with Libya or any other conflicts?
Expanding NATO is supposed to be about fending off any potential aggression, such as from Russia, and it’s not about seeking more conflicts, like the article above claims.
