First, there would be a ceasefire and demilitarization of the battle zones.

If this happens, the million-man Ukrainian army would be prevented from marching on Moscow...

The forecast for the UK, from Channel 4 News, yesterday:

“Energy bills are set to go up by more than £800 this autumn - as the regulator warned that the price cap is likely to hit £2,800 in October.

Ofgem’s boss described soaring gas prices as a “once in a generation event” - made even more acute by Russia’s war in Ukraine. Campaigners say - millions more people will be thrust into what is known as “fuel stress” - forced to choose between paying for food or heating their homes.”

The EU president Von der Leyen, in a WION video from yesterday, complained of Russia not feeding the EU and other regions of the world though the EU placed sanctions on Russia.

And yet Turkey has declared that Ukrainian mines have been washing up on their shores.

There are reports starting to appear of impending general collapse of Ukrainian forces at points along the eastern front.

If they break at any particular point, the Russians will pour through and it will be over for the eastern portion of the Ukraine.

One prime indicator has been reports of the removal of the Zelensky family from Ukraine.

Thirdly, a bilateral agreement between Russia and Ukraine regarding the status of contested territories.

This says absolutely nothing.

"Russia and Ukraine shall agree that there shall be an agreement on the territories."

Okay. But what will the terms of this agreement?

Some sort of territorial compromise is necessary. If the Brits want to fight to keep Donetsk Ukrainian, good luck to them but include us out. The reality of the world energy market and the pig-headed fixation on “green” energy will force most Euros to propose compromise.

The stupid assed neocons are not gonna put up with this.

They will lash out aggressively.

And try to provoke something.

#1. Marsden is spinning herself dizzy here. The disagreements reported are minor and are not surprising with forty countries backing Ukraine. The agreed goal of getting Russia out of Ukraine, by force or negotiation has not changed and is not collapsing because diplomacy is happening.

Not a surprise. The world would be safer if EU dissolved.

Z needs to work on a ceasefire as he loses territory each day.

Italy and France are far from the front-lines, so they think that in the case of a war, the Central European nations will take the brunt of the attack.

The UK see’s that helping the Ukrainians is bolstering its image among its former allies in the EU - the central european states.

Some EU member states know that their citizens are fed up with the chaos and are now taking the first tentative concrete steps toward peace

Kissinger wants Ukraine to give up territory for peace.

That won't work with Putin. He'll take some today and tomorrow come back for more.
