Kudlow: Biden admin's new NEPA permitting rules will basically stop new oil and gas production
Fox Business ^ | May 9,2022 | By Larry Kudlow

Of course, the Keystone XL pipeline is gone, thanks to Biden. Alaska drilling — gone. Other smaller pipelines — gone. Those decisions have already been made by Biden's Energy and Interior departments and his EPA. But just a few weeks ago, after bragging that at least a small amount of leases on federal lands will become available, the White House Council on Environment Quality put out the most restrictive, onerous infrastructure regulations in history.

Any new infrastructure projects — be they fossil fuel-related, or pipelines, or even bridges, roads highways, tunnels — will be subject to direct, indirect and cumulative environmental impact reviews. The social cost of carbon and its cumulative impact could go back 100 years and forward 100 years, all one gigantic roadblock.

Those new regulations actually neuter the trillion-dollar infrastructure bill that was passed months ago and supported by the Biden administration. Under these new rules, we won't be able to help Europe, nor will we be able to help the U.S. Ironically, we won't even be able to help the greenies, because a lot of their projects to build wind and solar and electric charging stations and EVs will be stopped by these radical environmental regulations.

Oil, by the way, is still over $100. Gasoline at the pump is only a penny short of the all-time record set a month ago at $4.32 nationwide. Natural gas is over $7.

This regime is doing everything it can to stifle and doom this country.
Baby formula, supply chain issues, energy production and money decisions are never made to our benefit. They are made to cripple and punish.

These people are evil and must be stopped.

We can vote them out of power but many won’t be stopped until they are the guest of honor at a gallows. The assault on our energy infrastructure, the lack of border enforcement, etc are all intentional and qualify as traitorous activity. The law provides a remedy for treason.

And it’s all based on a false premise - climate change may be real but man has very little to do with it.

The Elites and the Deepers will have all the gas, oil, food and electricity they need to be as comfortable as they always have been, whilst we plebes freeze and starve. Why isn’t anyone in power pushing back on this crap?

If the greenies ignore the migratory bird regulations by killing eagles and other birds of prey with their windmills, why should we expect they will follow these rules? They will certainly be given a pass by this administration.

Biden was correct when he said he wouldn’t ban fracking. What he didn’t say was that he would have to because he could produce the same effect by regulations designed to shut down energy production.

The elimination of regulations was one of the first things President Trump did.

He told us about trying to buy stuff for his hotels before becoming POTUS and how it was difficult for various trade reasons.

THAT was the greatness with Trump; He knew and understood how global trade worked ... with China, Europe, Thaiwan, etc.

And here ONCE AGAIN is the proof that he IS right. . . . regulations strangle trade.

Gone

That would be a great head line word to see on every newspaper right after the Democrat Party words.

Even if you vote them out they are still around and do what they do at the behest of the courts. If they can’t block directly they do it by lawsuit. It is the alinsky way. Use the system to break the system.

There is only one way to stop them and that is to eliminate them.
